Sailboat on Lake Norman by Amy Dundon: I went out early in the morning with my dog to walk at a marina on Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina. This image was captured at WaterStreet Seaport Marina. Enjoy the view of sailboats at the marina!
Lake Norman is the largest man-made lake in North Carolina with 520 miles of shoreline! The lake was created by Duke Energy to power the generators at the hydroelectric station at Cowans Ford Dam for use by McGuire Nuclear Station.
