Small Waterfall at South Mountain State Park by Amy Dundon: I walked the trail at South Mountain State Park in North Carolina with my dog Sam. I forgot how difficult the trail is so my older dog could not make it and stayed behind with my husband. It is still too early for fall leaves here, but featured is an image of the lower part of High Shoals Waterfall. The top of the falls is up many steep steps and large rocks and cannot be seen from the bottom. Enjoy the beauty of nature!
