Description
Our Lady de la Leche Shrine features a photographic image of this historical site of the first parish Mass on September 8,1565. This is the first shrine dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary in the United States. The Mission Nombre de Dios originated with the founding of the city of St. Augustine, which is America’s oldest city. Additional areas on the mission grounds include a museum with gift shop, Great Cross, a rosary garden, and stations of the Seven Sorrows of Mary. The grounds are located north of downtown St. Augustine.
We have visited St. Augustine many times over the years. It is a great place to visit with lots of history and amazing art galleries. The beach is very close also for those who love sun and surf! The Christmas Lights are impressive and a wonderful time of year to visit. My husband and I were married in Florida and had photographs taken on the grounds of Mission Nombre De Dios in front of The Great Cross and Our Lady de la Leche Shrine chapel. We visited St. Augustine recently and always enjoy going to the mission grounds.
Our Lady de la Leche Shrine is available in several high quality, professional formats including fine art prints, posters, canvas prints, acrylic prints, metal prints, wood prints, and tapestry. The image is also available in several home decor and lifestyle items.
