Davidson, North Carolina, is a historic town on Lake Norman in northern Mecklenburg County. The town is quaint with historical buildings, charming stores, and community events. This small town was founded in 1837 with the establishment of Davidson College, a small liberal arts college, which was named for Brigadier General William Lee Davidson who was a local Revolutionary War hero.
