Description
Expressive Flower and Fountain at Forsyth Park by Amy Dundon: features a view of Forsythe Park Fountain with a beautiful flower in the foreground and a view of a spouting triton figure carrying shell horns positioned in the basin in the background. The triton figures represent the mythological Greek messenger of the sea - half man and half fish.
Forsyth Park, designed in 1851, is located in Savannah, Georgie and is a popular tourist attraction. The fountain is located at the end of a long walkway surrounded by moss draped oak trees. The park was designed similar to the central public gardens found in France. The fountain was put into the park in 1858.
