Charming Jekyll Island Club Resort by Amy Dundon: During a recent visit to Jekyll Island I captured this image of the club resort hotel. Jekyll Island Club Resort is a historic hotel built in 1887. At that time wealthy families (i.e. Rockefellers, Morgans, and Vanderbilts) vacationed on the southern island to escape the Northern winters. In 1950 the state of Georgia opened the island as a state park and it has been protected from extensive development. The Jekyll Island Club Resort is a perfect location for families to experience the elegance and charm that was once enjoyed by America’s wealthiest families.
This image has been enhanced as a photo painting. Enjoy the beauty of this historic and charming hotel!

About Amy Dundon
Artist & Occupational Therapist Amy studied art (drawing, painting) and photography in high school and in college. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design and worked for many years as a graphic designer for a real estate company and then a design, print, and mail company. During that time Amy went back to school and obtained a Master of Occupational Therapy degree.
